Jack Draper to Miss the Rest of the Season Due to Injury
Tennis player Jack Draper will not be able to compete for the remainder of the season due to an injury to his left arm. This situation forced him to withdraw from his second-round match at the US Open. Draper, who is currently ranked number seven in the world, has been dealing with this injury for much of the year. The tennis player, who reached the semi-finals of the US Open last year, was diagnosed with a bone bruise after his defeat to Marin Cilic in the second round of Wimbledon.The 23-year-old player hadn’t played singles since Wimbledon due to the injury in his left arm, but managed to beat Federico Agustin Gomez in the first round of the US Open before withdrawing before his second-round match.“It’s very difficult to accept, as I was building incredible momentum this year and playing very well,” Draper said in a statement. “However, I’ve been through this before and always come back stronger, as I am very motivated to reach my potential as a player.”
