Lleyton Hewitt and Son Cruz Fall in Quarterfinals at Sydney Challenger

Lleyton Hewitt, a two-time Grand Slam champion, returned to professional competition alongside his son Cruz at the Sydney Challenger tournament, ending in the quarterfinals.

Hewitt, who was number one in the world and retired from individual tennis in 2016, teamed up with his 16-year-old son to play in the doubles tournament.

In their first match, the duo Hewitt defeated Hayden Jones and Pavle Marinkov with a score of 6-1 and 6-0.

However, in the quarterfinals, Lleyton and Cruz fell to Dane Sweeny and Calum Puttergill with scores of 7-5 and 6-4.

Lleyton Hewitt currently serves as the captain of the Australian Davis Cup team. Cruz Hewitt is one of the three children Lleyton has with his wife, actress Bec Hewitt.
