Coco Gauff Advances in the National Bank Open Despite Double Faults

Coco Gauff defeated Veronika Kudermetova in an exciting match at the National Bank Open, advancing to the next round despite a significant challenge with her serves. Gauff, who holds the second position in the world ranking, achieved a crucial victory over Kudermetova with a score of 4-6, 7-5, 6-2. The American tennis player had to overcome 14 double faults, demonstrating her mental strength and adaptability on the court.

It was a tough match. I think mentally I did well, especially on the return. I was playing against an opponent who served very well. Obviously, I would like to serve better, but overall, I am happy to have advanced.
