Jack Draper and Emma Raducanu, prominent figures in British tennis, will star in a match at the US Open.
Great Britain’s number ones, Jack Draper and Emma Raducanu, will face each other in the first round of the revamped US Open mixed doubles tournament this week.
The mixed doubles event, which was brought forward to August 19 and 20, before the main tournament, offers a prize of 1 million pounds sterling (750,000 pounds sterling) for the winners of the 16 participating pairs.
Draper will partner with American Jessica Pegula, following the withdrawal of their original partners, Paula Badosa and Tommy Paul.
Being both within the top five in the singles ranking, the pair leads the classification and will begin their participation against the invited pair Raducanu and Carlos Alcaraz.
The winners could face the 24-time Grand Slam champion, Novak Djokovic, and his partner Olga Danilovic, if the Serbian pair overcomes Mirra Andreeva and Daniil Medvedev.
Venus Williams, at 45 years old, will face Karolina Muchova and Andrey Rublev alongside her compatriot Reilly Opelka.
