Djokovic Overcomes Munar in Shanghai with Physical Difficulties
In a day marked by heat and humidity at the Shanghai Masters, Novak Djokovic achieved a victory over Jaume Munar with a score of 6-3, 5-7, 6-2. The match was full of ups and downs, including a moment of concern for the health of the Serbian tennis player.
After losing the second set, Djokovic collapsed on the court, requiring medical assistance. Following a long exchange that ended with a missed forehand, the tennis player lay down on the ground. He remained there for several seconds, with his arm over his eyes, before sitting up and resting his head between his legs.
He received medical treatment before the third set, but managed to recover and break Munar’s serve immediately. His opponent missed an easy shot when he was winning 40-15.
Although he did not do the traditional post-match interview, Djokovic shared his feelings on social media.
