Djokovic Interrupts Sabalenka at Wimbledon with Advice and Humor

In the context of Wimbledon, Novak Djokovic had a fun moment when he burst into the press conference of Aryna Sabalenka, the world number one. Djokovic, a seven-time Wimbledon champion, shared a practice court with Sabalenka this week before the start of the tournament. Subsequently, he interrupted the Belarusian tennis player’s press conference with a joke.

“What did you think of training with me? How do you see my level? Am I good?”, Sabalenka asked Djokovic.

Djokovic, with 24 Grand Slam titles, responded with humor.

“I think you have potential. You are a very talented player. Can I be honest? You lack intensity on the court. You don’t have enough intensity. It’s too flat. You have to cheer yourself up a bit and put some power into it,” Djokovic said, eliciting laughter.

Djokovic, back in 2011, experienced a similar situation at the All England Club, when Caroline Wozniacki interrupted his press conference. Djokovic will begin his participation in Wimbledon on Tuesday against Alexandre Muller of France. For her part, Sabalenka will play on Monday against Carson Branstine.
