Djokovic draws inspiration from LeBron and Ronaldo to extend his career
Novak Djokovic, the renowned tennis player, has expressed his admiration for sports figures like LeBron James and Cristiano Ronaldo, revealing his desire to continue his professional career until the age of 40.Djokovic, 38 years old, has mentioned LeBron James, who is still active at 40, and Cristiano Ronaldo, as examples of inspiration. He also cited Tom Brady, who played American football until he was 40, as a role model. After some recent defeats, Djokovic has shown a different perspective, indicating his intention to participate in the four Grand Slams in 2026, which would extend his career at least until 2027. In addition to his ambition on the court, Djokovic, co-founder of the Professional Tennis Players Association in 2020, seeks to use his influence to improve the sport. The main players are pressuring the Grand Slams for a greater share of revenue, and the PTPA has filed lawsuits against tennis governing bodies to push for changes.“Longevity is one of my biggest motivations. I really want to see how far I can go,” Djokovic declared at the Joy Forum in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
