De Minaur Reaches 50 Wins in the Season

Australian tennis player Alex De Minaur, seeded number seven, became the third player of the season to reach 50 victories in professional-level tournaments. He achieved this after defeating Nuno Borges with scores of 7-5 and 6-2 in the Shanghai Masters.

De Minaur displayed a solid game, connecting 19 winning shots in a match that lasted one hour and 47 minutes, thus securing his place in the quarterfinals of a Masters 1000 for the seventh time in his career.

Only Carlos Alcaraz, with 67 victories, and Taylor Fritz, with 50, had previously reached this mark in 2025.

In his best previous season, De Minaur achieved 47 victories and two titles.

In his next match, De Minaur will face the 16th seed, Daniil Medvedev, who defeated Learner Tien with scores of 7-6 (6), 6-7 (1), and 6-4.

In addition, Felix Auger-Aliassime, seeded number 12, eliminated Lorenzo Musetti, eighth seed, with a score of 6-4 and 6-2, securing his place in the quarterfinals against Arthur Rinderknech.

Rinderknech, who surprised by defeating Jiri Lehecka, seeded number 15, with a score of 6-3 and 7-6 (5), joins his cousin Valentin Vacherot in the quarterfinals.
