Cincinnati Open: Tournament Halted by Power Outage, Fritz Advances

CINCINNATI – Play at the Cincinnati Open was interrupted for more than an hour on Monday due to a power outage.

The suspension of the game occurred at 5:25 p.m., just after Taylor Fritz won the first set on center court with a score of 7-6(4) against Lorenzo Sonego.

On court 3, Stefanos Tsitsipas was leading Benjamin Bonzi 7-6(4), 2-5.

The game resumed shortly before 6:40 p.m.

The defending champion, Jannik Sinner, was scheduled to play later on Monday night against Canadian Gabriel Diallo.
