Turin Secures the ATP Finals Until 2026, But the Future is Uncertain

Turin, Italy – The city of Turin will remain the host of the ATP Finals at least until the year 2026, as announced this Thursday by the Italian Tennis and Padel Federation. However, the future of the tournament beyond that date could be affected by political issues.

Last November, ATP President Andrea Gaudenzi announced the extension of the contract with the Italian federation for five more years, which would ensure the tournament’s celebration until 2030. However, it was not specified whether the event would continue in Turin or move to Milan, where a new ice hockey stadium is being built for the Milan-Cortina 2026 Olympic Games.

Now, it is confirmed that the ATP Finals will be held in Turin for at least two more editions: in November of this year and in 2026.

At least until 2026, the ATP Finals will be played in Turin.

Angelo Binaghi, president of the Italian Federation
Binaghi also mentioned that a new government decree, which could reduce the federation’s control over the organization of the tournament, threatens to force the ATP to seek a new venue.

It’s a shame that this is happening at the best moment in the history of Italian tennis. But we will do everything possible to keep the tournament here.

Angelo Binaghi
The ATP Finals have been held in Turin since 2021, after taking place in London for 12 years. Last year, Jannik Sinner was crowned champion of the tournament.
