Andy Roddick Joins ESPN to Cover Wimbledon and the US Open
Tennis Hall of Famer Andy Roddick joins the Alofoke Deportes team for Wimbledon and US Open coverage, according to a multi-year agreement announced this Monday. Roddick, US Open champion in 2003, will work as a match commentator and studio analyst. His participation will begin just before the start of the tournament at the All England Club at the end of June. His victory in New York marked the last time an American man won a Grand Slam singles title. Roddick retired as a player in 2012 and was inducted into the International Tennis Hall of Fame in 2017.Roddick was a runner-up in four Grand Slam tournaments, losing to Roger Federer at Wimbledon in 2004, 2005 and 2009, and at the US Open in 2006. In addition, he won 32 singles titles, finished nine consecutive years in the ATP top 10, and contributed to the United States winning the Davis Cup in 2007.Simply, I have always been a big tennis fan.
