Alcaraz Withdraws from Toronto Masters

Spanish tennis player Carlos Alcaraz has announced his withdrawal from the Toronto Masters tournament, joining the list of absences that already includes Jannik Sinner, Novak Djokovic and Jack Draper. Alcaraz, current world number two, explained that the competition in Toronto comes too early in his recovery process after his participation in Wimbledon.

In Wimbledon, Alcaraz reached the final on July 13th, where he was runner-up. Alcaraz has five Grand Slam titles. In the world ranking, Sinner holds the first position, followed by Alcaraz in second, Draper in fifth, and Djokovic, with 24 Grand Slam titles, in sixth.
