Alcaraz and Sinner: A New Final in the Davis Cup?
US Open champion Carlos Alcaraz could face Jannik Sinner in another final, after Spain and Italy were placed in different halves of the draw for the Davis Cup Finals.
Spain will face the Czech Republic in the quarterfinals, with the possibility of facing Germany or Argentina. For their part, Italy, the current champion, will play against Austria.
The other semi-final match will be between France and Belgium.
Alcaraz defeated Sinner 6-2, 3-6, 6-1, 6-4 earlier this month, securing his second US Open title, his sixth Grand Slam title overall, and reclaiming the number 1 ranking.
The final phase of the Davis Cup will take place in Bologna, Italy, from November 18 to 23.
