Alcaraz Fights for Victory at the Queen’s Club Championship
Spanish tennis player Carlos Alcaraz, seeded number one, faced a tough battle against his compatriot Jaume Munar in an exciting match, securing his place in the quarterfinals of the Queen’s Club Championship with a 6-4, 6-7(7), 7-5 victory. Following his recent triumph at Roland Garros, Alcaraz demonstrated his resilience in London, although the match did not reach the same intensity. The British public witnessed a contest full of emotion. Despite being down on the scoreboard in the deciding set, Alcaraz showed his strength, extending his winning streak to 15 matches, the longest of his career.The 2023 champion, Alcaraz, started off well, dominating the first set. After saving set points in the second, he took Munar to a tiebreak. Both players exchanged breaks, and although Alcaraz took the lead, Munar forced the deciding set. In the third set, Alcaraz achieved two crucial breaks to secure the victory. With this triumph, the Spaniard continues his preparation for Wimbledon.It was a really tough battle we had today. There were moments when I struggled a lot mentally and physically. I still don’t know how I am here. But I am very happy to have given myself another chance in the quarterfinals.

Jacob Fearnley Advances to Quarterfinals
In other tournament results, Brit Jacob Fearnley achieved his first qualification to the ATP Tour quarterfinals, after defeating Corentin Moutet with a score of 6-3, 2-6, 6-2.Fearnley will face Jiri Lehecka in the next round.I am very happy to be in my first quarterfinal, it’s even better to do it here in the UK. I tried to stick to my game plan and be aggressive. I did better in the third set and the result speaks for itself.
