Alcaraz Recovers ATP Ranking Number 1; Anisimova Rises to WTA Top 4

Spanish tennis player Carlos Alcaraz has officially returned to number 1 in the ATP ranking, after a two-year wait. This achievement comes after defeating Jannik Sinner in the US Open final. Alcaraz, excited about this new milestone, commented: “When you achieve the goals you set at the beginning of the year, it’s incredible.” Alcaraz’s triumph over Sinner at Arthur Ashe Stadium, with a score of 6-2, 3-6, 6-1, 6-4, allowed him to rise from second place. Sinner, who had held the number 1 spot since June 2024, now relinquishes his place. On the other hand, Amanda Anisimova experienced a significant rise in the WTA ranking, climbing five positions to reach number 4, her best ranking to date. This achievement comes after her performance as runner-up against Aryna Sabalenka.

For me, achieving it one more time… is a dream.
