Rob Mac announced that the profits from last season’s away shirt will be donated to the club’s supporters’ support fund.
Wrexham co-owner Rob Mac has backed a change of stance from the club, allowing Sheffield Wednesday fans to display a banner at Saturday’s match. The banner calls on their owner, Dejphon Chansiri, to sell the club.
The Sheffield Wednesday has faced financial difficulties this summer, with several embargoes imposed by the EFL due to financial breaches, including non-payment to players and staff in May, June, and July.
Before the match between Wrexham and Sheffield Wednesday in the Championship on Saturday, the fans of the South Yorkshire club requested permission to display the banner.
Initially, the request was denied, according to the Wrexham Supporters Trust (WST), due to “political connotations.” However, Wrexham reconsidered its decision and ultimately allowed the display of the banner.

“More than most, Wrexham supporters understand the devastating impact that poor management can have on the survival of a football club. Just 14 years ago, our fans raised over £100,000 in a single day to save Wrexham from expulsion from the Football Conference, after years of mismanagement that had brought us to our knees,” the WST stated in a statement.
