Woltemade Rejects Gabriel’s Apology for Elbow in Newcastle vs Arsenal Match

Nick Woltemade, the recent star signing for Newcastle, revealed details about an incident with Gabriel Magalhães of Arsenal during the match that culminated in the Gunners’ 2-1 victory at St James’ Park. Woltemade, who scored the goal that put Newcastle ahead, claimed to have received an elbow to the face from the Brazilian defender. The player, acquired by Newcastle for a record sum of 65 million pounds sterling, detailed the incident that occurred after his header in the 34th minute. According to Woltemade, Gabriel apologized, but the striker rejected the apology, as he considered the action unjustifiable in the game.

Woltemade expressed his opinion on the incident to Sky Sports, explaining that he felt the elbow in his face and communicated it to the referee. Despite the apparent foul, Woltemade chose not to exaggerate the situation. “I’m not the type of player who throws himself to the ground for this. He apologized afterwards, I think he knew he hit me in the face. Honestly, that didn’t solve the situation,” he stated.
