Amorim Confirms Key Absences in Manchester United Squad for Clash Against Crystal Palace

Coach Ruben Amorim will have to face Manchester United’s next match against Crystal Palace with significant absences in his squad. Matheus Cunha, Benjamin Sesko, and Harry Maguire will not be available for Sunday’s match. Cunha, who suffered a head injury during training, was withdrawn at the last minute from the team that faced Everton. Although he will miss the match at Selhurst Park, he is expected to be recovered for the match against West Ham next week. Sesko and Maguire, on the other hand, are expected to be out of action for a more extended period.

“I hope to have Matheus in the next match, not in this one,” Amorim stated in a press conference on Friday.

Regarding Sesko, Amorim added that his recovery will take a little more time. “We are taking care of the injury,” he explained.

The Manchester United seeks to recover from the defeat suffered against Everton and improve its away performance, where it has only achieved one victory so far this Premier League season. The Amorim team has had good performances in matches like against Nottingham Forest and Tottenham, but has not managed to secure victories. The United’s last away win in the league, apart from the victory against Liverpool at Anfield in October, was against Leicester City in March.

“It’s difficult to point to a single reason why we’re not winning away from home,” commented Amorim. “There are many problems. I think that, if I review the matches, we should have more points.”

Ruben Amorim
Amorim lamented the loss of control in some matches and the frustration generated by the current situation, especially after the match against Everton.
