Tottenham Hotspur Secures Mohammed Kudus for £55 Million
Tottenham Hotspur have reached an agreement with West Ham to sign midfielder Mohammed Kudus for a fee close to £55 million (approximately $74.7 million).
A source close to the negotiation confirmed the news to Alofoke Deportes.
The Ghanaian international has already agreed to a six-year contract with the club, and is expected to undergo medical tests in the next 48 hours, according to the same source.
Previously, it had been reported that West Ham had rejected an initial offer of 50 million pounds sterling for the player.
Kudus, 24, has an £85 million release clause in his contract, which can only be activated by other Premier League clubs. However, West Ham were willing to let him go for a lower fee.
The player, who was also on Chelsea’s radar, joined West Ham in 2023 from Ajax and became a priority target for Tottenham’s new coach, Thomas Frank, this summer.
Kudus has played 80 matches with West Ham, scoring 19 goals and providing 13 assists.
