Tel Aviv Derby Suspended Due to Violent Incidents
The anticipated Tel Aviv derby between Hapoel and Maccabi was suspended on Sunday due to violent clashes between the supporters of both teams. The police recommended the suspension of the Israeli Premier League match after incidents were reported before the start of the match at Bloomfield Stadium, shared by both clubs.This decision comes a few days after the Birmingham Safety Advisory Group determined that Maccabi fans would not be able to attend the Europa League match against Aston Villa next month.Following the police’s decision, it was determined that the Tel Aviv derby would not take place tonight.
