Tottenham Hotspur Plans Europa League Celebration
Tottenham Hotspur has big plans in case they are crowned champions of the Europa League. Sources close to Alofoke Deportes reveal that the English club is considering a grand celebration, parading the trophy before their fans.
Spurs, who will face Manchester United in the Europa League final, are looking for their first title since 2008. The final will be played in Spain next week.
Despite a complicated domestic season, where the team is in a position close to relegation in the Premier League, Tottenham’s board sees the Europa League as an opportunity to bring joy to its fans.
On the other hand, Manchester United does not plan to hold a similar celebration in case of victory.
Traditionally, the club has chosen not to celebrate titles won with bus parades.
The last time United held a parade was in 2013, to celebrate their twentieth league title and the farewell of Sir Alex Ferguson.
Furthermore, United’s schedule makes organizing a parade difficult, even if the club wanted to.
After the Europa League final on May 21, Ruben Amorim’s team will play their last Premier League match on May 25 against Aston Villa at Old Trafford.
Subsequently, the team will travel to Malaysia for a two-match pre-season tour. Upon their return, several players will join their national teams for the June international matches.
We need to help the club, because the club makes money. We are going to connect with our fans from all over the world. And that is important, especially when we lose and disappoint our fans during this tough season. So I think it’s the least we can do. And we are going to take the whole team, also the children, we will have the staff there. We have many changes in the staff, so we are trying to build something like a family. I think that’s also a good thing.
