Son Heung-Min stated that Harry Kane will be “the biggest Spurs fan” when Tottenham face Manchester United in Wednesday’s Europa League final. Furthermore, he admitted that this match could be his last chance to win a major trophy.
The South Korean international will complete a decade at the club this summer. Despite establishing himself as a legend, he has yet to win any title since arriving from Bayer Leverkusen in 2015.
Kane, who joined Tottenham at the age of 11, was in a similar situation, but left Spurs two years ago and finally ended his long wait for a trophy by winning the Bundesliga with Bayern Munich. The duo, which combined to score more goals than any other in Premier League history, remains close. Son commented on Tuesday: “Everyone knows that Harry is my best friend. It was a great honor to play alongside him. After he won his first title, we had a conversation about his trophy.”

Son Heung-Min has scored 11 goals in all competitions for Spurs this season.
“He’s already on vacation, so he doesn’t have to text me. I’m just focusing on my teammates. Harry will be the biggest Spurs fan tomorrow, I’m sure he’ll be supporting us from his vacation,” Son added.
A Son has only one year left on his current contract after the club exercised an option to extend his deal.
The 32-year-old player was part of the Spurs team that lost the 2019 Champions League final against Liverpool and the EFL Cup final two years later.
A large television audience in Korea will be watching Wednesday’s match in the early hours of the morning, local time, hoping to see if the country’s most popular athlete can finally win a trophy.
The future, we never know it. We could play the Champions League next year or we could play in the final. Obviously, we never know, but the opportunity I have now is real.

“It’s a fact. It’s a Europa League final, so I’m not thinking about anything else. This could be my last chance or it could be another chance. I just want to focus on tomorrow, focus on winning and lifting the trophy with my teammates,” he added.
“I really appreciate [the fans in Korea] supporting us in the morning, at night. They are always here. I want to give something back to them. Tomorrow, I hope I can give them a smile, the trophy, and a historic moment they will never forget. I hope we can enjoy together and celebrate together.”
Son also confirmed that he is “physically ready to play” after a foot problem, while Ange Postecoglou confirmed that Pape Matar Sarr is available, but Lucas Bergvall misses the match due to an ankle injury.
