Maurizio Sarri Returns to Lazio as Coach

Italian coach Maurizio Sarri has returned to Lazio as manager, a year after resigning. The announcement was made by the Serie A club this Monday.

Although the details of the agreement were not disclosed by the club, the Italian news agency Adnkronos reported that Sarri, former coach of Chelsea and Juventus, has signed a two-year contract with Lazio, with an option for a third season.

Sarri had resigned as Lazio’s coach in March 2024, after almost three years in the role. The team finished in seventh position in Serie A in the 2023-24 season, after having finished second in the previous season.
