French central defender William Saliba has extended his link with Arsenal, signing a new long-term contract, as confirmed by the club this Tuesday. The news puts an end to months of speculation about a possible transfer to Real Madrid.

Saliba, who arrived at Arsenal in 2019, has expressed his happiness to continue at the club. “I feel at home. We have a good team, a good squad and good staff. The coach is perfect for me, so it’s the best place to be,” declared the player. The 24-year-old player added: “I enjoy every day I have the opportunity to wear this jersey.
