Mohamed Salah secures his return to the World Cup with Egypt next summer. Liverpool star Mohamed Salah scored two goals in the 3-0 victory over Djibouti this Wednesday, ensuring that Egypt tops their African qualifying group with one round to go.

Salah and Egypt participated in the 2018 World Cup, although the player was affected by a shoulder injury sustained in the Champions League final weeks before, when Liverpool lost to Real Madrid.
In that edition, Egypt lost all three matches in its group against Russia, Uruguay, and Saudi Arabia. Egypt will be among the nine African teams that will qualify directly in the World Cup tournament draw on December 5 in Washington D.C.
