Declan Rice Urges Caution After Arsenal’s Victory Over Bayern Munich

London – Arsenal midfielder Declan Rice has urged his team to remain calm following their convincing 3-1 victory over Bayern Munich in the Champions League. This triumph, which maintains Arsenal’s perfect record in the group stage, has generated great enthusiasm among the fans. Arsenal secured their fifth consecutive victory in Europe thanks to goals from Jurriën Timber, Noni Madueke, and Gabriel Martinelli. This defeat marked Bayern Munich’s first in any competition this season. Lennart Karl scored the equalizing goal for Bayern, but Madueke and Martinelli, coming off the bench, turned the match in favor of Arsenal in an impressive second half. This result positions Arsenal at the top of the table in both the Premier League and the Champions League.

“We have played against the best team in Europe. Tactically, this was probably the most difficult match we have played this season. The way they work is very, very good,” declared Rice.

Rice also added: “In the second half we went toe-to-toe with them and I think we were outstanding. The coach is very happy. It was a special European night. There are many leaders in the team. We go game by game. There is hunger and a desire to win every game. There is still a long way to go, let’s not get carried away.”

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta recalled the defeat against Bayern in the quarter-finals two seasons ago and commented: “We are different, they are also different. It was a different stage in the competition. There were very fine margins in that match. But that’s part of the past. Hopefully, we learn, we are better and we are going to have to prove it. We have certainly been very, very consistent in the competition so far, but this is just the beginning.”
