The Seattle Reign secured their playoff spot with a 2-1 victory over the Utah Royals. The match, played at Lumen Field, saw Sofia Huerta convert a crucial penalty in the 67th minute, ensuring the win for the home team.
Ainsley McCammon opened the scoring for the Reign with a header following a cross from Maddie Dahlien, scoring her first goal at 18 years old. Paige Monaghan equalized for the Royals, but Huerta’s penalty restored the lead for the Reign.

The Bay FC, for its part, was already eliminated from playoff contention.
