Scandal in the Ring: Rampage Jackson’s Son Assaults Wrestler
A shocking incident shook the world of wrestling. Raja Jackson, son of former UFC champion Quinton “Rampage” Jackson, was involved in an attack in the ring against professional wrestler Stuart Smith, known as Syko Stu. The altercation took place at the KnokX Pro Wrestling Academy, where Raja Jackson entered the ring and, off-script, performed a body-slam on Smith, apparently leaving him unconscious, and then delivered a series of blows to the head. The incident, captured on video and widely circulated on social media, shows Jackson repeatedly hitting Smith. Other wrestlers intervened to stop the aggression, after which Jackson left the premises. The Los Angeles police responded to the academy and have initiated an investigation into the incident.KnokX Pro Entertainment & Academy issued a statement strongly condemning Jackson’s actions, calling them “reprehensible” and assuring that they are monitoring Smith’s health. The academy also apologized to the fans and attendees. Smith, who presents himself as a U.S. military veteran, uses wrestling as a tool to manage post-traumatic stress disorder. Raja Jackson, 25, is also a mixed martial arts fighter, with a loss in his only professional fight in 2023. Rampage Jackson himself issued a statement on social media where he stated that Smith is “awake and stable.” In addition, he explained that the attack was part of a previously planned performance that “went wrong” after Smith, allegedly, angered Raja Jackson by hitting him in the head during the day, before the encounter. Rampage Jackson, former UFC light heavyweight champion, also stated that Raja “is an MMA fighter, not a professional wrestler and shouldn’t have been involved in an event like this. I do not approve of my son’s actions at all!”.What was supposed to be a planned and agreed-upon moment of struggle turned into a selfish and irresponsible act of violence against Mr. Smith.
