Newell’s Old Boys Honors Lionel Messi with a New Box

In a touching gesture, Newell’s Old Boys has decided to name a new box at its stadium, the Coloso Marcelo Bielsa, in honor of Lionel Messi, coinciding with the 38th birthday of the Argentine star. The Rosario club, where Messi began his football career, already has a box dedicated to another legend of Argentine football, Diego Maradona, who also wore the Newell’s shirt in the 1993-94 season.

Today, the Colossus writes a new page. For the first time, the two most powerful names in the history of football coexist under the same roof: OURS.
