FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – Lionel Messi is about to reveal to the world what his favorite goal has been of his entire illustrious career.
Inter Miami’s star, winner of eight Ballon d’Ors and world champion, announced on Tuesday that he will unveil his favorite goal on May 22nd. The representation of that goal will become a work of art that will be auctioned for charity.
Messi has a wide range of options to choose from: he has scored more than 800 goals for clubs and his national team throughout his extensive career with Argentina, Barcelona, Paris Saint-Germain and Inter Miami.

Both Messi and the artist Refik Anadol will sign the artwork, which will be presented in New York, by the auction house Christie’s, on June 11.
Choosing just one goal among all of them is very difficult. Each one is special in its own way, and some are really important or bring incredible memories. But highlighting one as a favorite for the first time, to make this unique project possible, is worth it. There is a strong purpose behind this, and I am very happy to be a part of it.
