Manchester United have initiated exploratory talks with the representatives of Eintracht Frankfurt striker Hugo Ekitike in their search for offensive reinforcements. The English team, which couldn’t sign Liam Delap, who joined Chelsea, and given Viktor Gyökeres’ possible preference for Arsenal, has set its sights on the French striker. Ekitike, who scored 15 goals in the Bundesliga last season, is also being followed by Liverpool, Chelsea and Arsenal. According to sources close to the club, United has gathered information about the player for a possible offer, and Frankfurt is aware of their interest. Furthermore, Manchester United is still in negotiations with Brentford for Bryan Mbeumo, Cameroonian international.

Mbeumo, 25 years old, seems to prefer joining Manchester United, although a fee has not yet been agreed with Brentford. The United coach, Ruben Amorim, is looking to reinforce the attack after a season in which the team struggled to score goals, netting only 44 in the league. Despite the arrival of Matheus Cunha from Wolves for £62.5 million, Amorim wants to bring in at least one more forward.
