New Era at Carrington
The first team’s building at Carrington reopened its doors after a year of remodeling. Ratcliffe, speaking at the opening, compared the old facilities to a “hospital”.Dalot, a member of the new six-man leadership team led by Ruben Amorim, emphasized the importance of players living up to the new facilities. The footballer highlighted that a club like Manchester United should have the best facilities in the world, and now there are no excuses. Now it’s up to us, on the field, to match that standard as well.

Ratcliffe added that, although world-class training facilities do not guarantee success on their own, they are a key ingredient. United took inspiration from the Los Angeles Rams’ training facilities and Leicester City’s state-of-the-art training center, which cost £100 million and opened in 2020.The club has to compete at the highest level that is appropriate for the size and history of the club.
