Man Utd Comeback Against Hong Kong in Friendly, Obi Stands Out with Brace
Chido Obi scored two goals to help Manchester United beat Hong Kong.

Manchester United secured a narrow 3-1 victory over Hong Kong in a pre-season friendly on Friday.

Hong Kong took the lead in the score at 20 minutes thanks to a goal from former Rangers winger Juninho.

United responded shortly after the break thanks to Chido Obi, who scored a second goal in the 82nd minute to put his team ahead. Ayden Heaven added a third in stoppage time to secure United’s victory.

This triumph comes after Ruben Amorim’s team was booed following a 1-0 defeat to the ASEAN All-Stars on Wednesday in Kuala Lumpur.

The match against Hong Kong was played under uncertainty about the future of Bruno Fernandes and Alejandro Garnacho, with speculation about the possible departure of both players from the club this summer.

Sources close to the club report that captain Fernandes is a target for Al Hilal of the Saudi Professional League, with the possibility that they may try to sign the Portuguese international before next month’s Club World Cup.

Although United insists Fernandes is not available, sources indicate that Al Hilal and Saudi negotiators believe there is a possibility that United will accept a mega offer for the 30-year-old player.

Meanwhile, sources close to the club indicate that Garnacho is likely to leave United this summer.
