Manchester United Warns Its Fans Ahead of Chelsea Visit
Manchester United has issued a warning to its supporters about their behavior during the upcoming match against Chelsea at Old Trafford this Saturday. The main concern lies in the possible reactivation of offensive chants, especially with the return of Alejandro Garnacho.
Garnacho, 21, is expected to receive a hostile reception upon his return to United, following his transfer to Stamford Bridge during the summer.
The player was sidelined by Ruben Amorim after criticizing the United coach following the Europa League final defeat against Tottenham in May.

The United have issued guidelines, including a statement from the Rainbow Devils supporters’ group, before matches against Chelsea in the past.
The club has tried to prevent any offensive chanting before Garnacho’s return, warning fans about the “consequences” if they are caught singing songs that include homophobic insults.
In a statement issued on Thursday, United stated: “As we prepare to welcome Chelsea FC to Old Trafford this weekend, Manchester United wishes to take this opportunity to reaffirm its commitment to ensuring that Old Trafford remains a place where everyone feels safe, respected, and valued.”
“We are aware of the use of the ‘rent boy’ chant that has been heard at matches involving Chelsea in recent years. We want to be absolutely clear: this chant is offensive, inappropriate and has no place in our stadium or in our game.”
United have confirmed that the chant is considered a hate crime by both the Football Association and the Crown Prosecution Service.
The club warns that penalties will be considered, including expulsion from the stadium, the issuance of a ban, or the filing of criminal charges against any fan who participates in offensive chants.
The club’s statement continued: “We call on our supporters to uphold the values of our club by avoiding language and behavior that causes harm or offense.”
“We encourage fans to challenge this chant and any other discriminatory behavior, and instead channel passion into positive support for the team.”
