The Lionesses Will Celebrate Their Triumph in the 2025 European Championship with a Triumphant Parade
The Lionesses, champions of the 2025 European Championship, will celebrate their victory with an open-top bus parade this Tuesday. The route will be along The Mall, culminating in a ceremony at the Queen Victoria Memorial in front of Buckingham Palace. England successfully defended their Women’s European Championship title on Sunday, securing victory over Spain in a thrilling penalty shootout. This historic achievement makes them the first senior England team to defend an international title, and the first to win a trophy on foreign soil. The Lionesses are scheduled to return home from Switzerland on Monday, followed by a reception at 10 Downing Street with Deputy Prime Minister Angela Rayner.
“We are very proud of all the players, Sarina and the support team, who have been part of this incredible achievement. Everyone has worked incredibly hard and we know that the nation shares our pride. “The victory celebration in London on Tuesday will give English fans the opportunity to celebrate with the players and be part of history. “We have had incredible support from our fans both in Switzerland and at home throughout the tournament, and we hope to celebrate together and create unforgettable memories.”“Our Lionesses, who have made history, are European champions for the second consecutive time, and have become the first senior England team in history to win a tournament abroad,” said Mark Bullingham, FA chief executive, in a statement.
