Harry Kane Reaches 400 Goals with Bayern Munich in Classic Victory

Star striker Harry Kane continues his impressive goal-scoring streak. Recently, the English player scored his 400th goal at club level, during Bayern Munich’s triumph over Borussia Dortmund in the German classic, known as “Der Klassiker”. The match ended with a score of 2-1 in favor of Bayern, marking Dortmund’s first defeat in the Bundesliga this season. Kane’s historic goal came in the 22nd minute of the match, thanks to an accurate header after a corner kick taken by Joshua Kimmich. This goal not only marked a personal milestone, but also extended his goalscoring streak in the Bundesliga to five consecutive matches, totaling nine goals in that period. Since his arrival at Bayern Munich in the summer of 2023, coming from Tottenham Hotspur, Kane has demonstrated his goalscoring ability with 104 goals in 107 matches. Before his time in Germany, the striker scored 280 goals with Tottenham, the club where he was trained. In addition, he accumulated goals in his loan spells at teams like Millwall, Leyton Orient and Leicester City. Kane’s performance in the Bundesliga has been exceptional, establishing himself as a key player in Bayern’s attack. His adaptation to the team and his ability to score goals have made him a benchmark for the club and the league. Kane, in addition to his success at the club level, has also had a significant impact with the England national team. Recently, he scored two goals against Latvia, securing qualification for the 2026 World Cup. With these goals, Kane extended his scoring streak to nine consecutive matches, considering both matches with his club and with the national team. The English striker has shown versatility in his game, adapting to different roles on the field. In the match against Dortmund, Kane played in a more withdrawn position, contributing both to the creation of play and in defense.

“Probably six, eight, and 10,” Kane joked when asked about the position he played against Dortmund. “But I enjoy it, I enjoy a different side of my game. I know everyone is used to me being up top and scoring goals, but I feel like I can contribute a lot more and today was a clear example. I still managed, obviously, to get on the scoresheet, which was good, but ultimately it was more about defending, tackling, picking up loose balls and then playing the passes behind, which worked quite well”.
