According to sources, De Paul arrives on an initial loan until the end of 2025, with an option to buy.

With only one year remaining on his contract with Atletico Madrid, both parties reached an agreement that makes him the latest star to join Inter Miami.
De Paul, 31, will initially not be one of Inter Miami’s designated players (DP), as those three positions are held by Lionel Messi, Jordi Alba, and Sergio Busquets. If a DP position were to become available at the end of his loan, Inter Miami could sign the player to a more extensive contract.
The arrival of De Paul is part of Inter Miami’s vision to strengthen the team’s depth and quality on and off the field.
De Paul joins his compatriot and captain of the Argentinian national team, Lionel Messi, with whom the club hopes to extend his contract beyond December 2025.
De Paul was part of the Argentinian team that, along with Messi, won the World Cup in 2022 and the Copa América in 2021 and 2024.
His arrival in the Spanish capital took place in July 2021 from Udinese of Serie A, in a deal worth 35 million euros (41 million dollars), and during that period he played 187 matches, scoring 14 goals and assisting 26 times.
De Paul was a key player last season for Diego Simeone’s team, participating in 53 matches in all competitions, including three matches in the Club World Cup last month.
Atlético has already reinforced its midfield this summer with the signings of Johnny Cardoso from Real Betis, Alex Baena from Villarreal, and Thiago Almada.
