French Football Federation Investigates Hate Comments After Elimination in Women’s Euro

Following the elimination of the French women’s national football team in the quarter-finals of the European Championship, the French Football Federation (FFF) has announced an investigation due to hateful comments made online. The French Football Federation strongly condemns the hateful comments directed at certain players of the French national team. Nothing can justify such displays of hatred. The FFF expressed its full support for the affected players and reaffirmed its commitment to the values of respect and solidarity, fundamental pillars of sport. The federation’s decision comes after English defender Jess Carter withdrew from social media due to racial abuse received online. French goalkeeper Pauline Peyraud-Magnin also spoke out on the subject through an Instagram post, highlighting the seriousness of hate in sports.
