The Barcelona coach, Hansi Flick, expressed his disappointment at Dro Fernández’s decision to join Paris Saint-Germain this week. The coach showed his affection for the young player, despite his departure. Dro Fernández, 18 years old, signed with PSG after the French club agreed to pay the release clause of 6 million euros.

“I really wanted this guy. Of course, I’m disappointed, but this is football. We have to respect this decision”.

Flick, although initially annoyed by Dro’s departure, chose to moderate his public statements, emphasizing his affection for the player and acknowledging that the footballer had a great future at the club. Dro had been in the first team of Barça since last summer, participating in five matches in LaLiga and the Champions League, but was looking for more regularity on the field. Dro’s departure, along with the arrival of other players, marks the end of Barça’s moves in the January market, according to the club’s president, Joan Laporta. Flick trusts in his squad’s ability to compete in all competitions, highlighting the return of injured players and the availability of youth players.
