England Prepares for World Cup Heat with Intensive Training

The England national team has begun training in specially heated tents, replicating the conditions expected at the upcoming World Cup. This is revealed by sources close to the team.

Currently, the team is in Spain, conducting a training camp in a warm climate. This is in preparation for Saturday’s qualifying match against Andorra. Subsequently, they will close the 2024-25 season with a friendly against Senegal in Nottingham.

However, the English Football Association and coach Thomas Tuchel are already looking ahead to next summer’s tournament, which will be held in the United States, Canada, and Mexico.

According to sources, special tents have been installed at the field, where the temperature is artificially increased. The players will perform exercises on bicycles and their recovery will be monitored to assess how each one reacts to the high temperatures.

There is concern that at least four of the host cities may exceed 32 degrees Celsius, which, according to FIFA rules, would trigger automatic cooling breaks in each half, around the 30th and 75th minutes.

Research from Queen’s University Belfast suggests that up to 14 of the 16 stadiums to be used could reach a “potentially dangerous” level of 28 degrees Celsius.

It’s important to watch matches now in America, and in Miami at three in the afternoon. The real experience is for the players, but I’ve done preseason there in Orlando and I’ll be very surprised if we don’t suffer. Suffering is one of the headlines of this World Cup.
