The future of Endrick, the young Brazilian striker, seems defined. According to his agent, Tiago Freitas, the player will not stay at Lyon beyond the summer and will return to Real Madrid. Endrick, 19 years old, has performed well since joining Lyon in December on a six-month loan from Real Madrid, scoring five goals in six appearances. Amidst speculation about the possibility of Lyon extending Endrick’s stay, his agent was clear. “Endrick will return to Real Madrid at the end of the season. He is on loan at Lyon and at the end of the season, Endrick will once again be a Real Madrid player,” Freitas stated.

Endrick volverá al Real Madrid este verano, según su agente.
Endrick, who hopes to be included in Brazil’s squad for this summer’s World Cup, admitted that he received advice from his former Real Madrid coach and current Brazilian national team coach, Carlo Ancelotti, before joining Lyon on loan. After having played 37 matches with Real Madrid in the 2024-25 season, Endrick only participated on three occasions under the direction of Xabi Alonso.

Endrick has had no adaptation problems. He scored in his first Champions League match, in his first LaLiga match, in his first Copa match.

Freitas added: “When you arrive at a club where eight of the 10 best players in the world are already there, it’s normal for an 18-year-old to have few minutes on the field. However, he didn’t do the preseason, he didn’t go to the Club World Cup and he was out for several months due to a hamstring injury. In a club like Real Madrid, that penalizes you a lot.” When asked if he is worried that Endrick will not have enough minutes once he returns to the Bernabéu, Freitas replied: “I cannot predict the future. Endrick only thinks about the next match, he always thinks about the next match.”
