Max Dowman: Arsenal’s Young Promise Makes Premier League 2 History
Arsenal’s young talent, Max Dowman, has marked a milestone in his career by becoming the youngest goalscorer for the youth team in the Premier League 2. On Saturday, Dowman scored in his first start in the competition, demonstrating his exceptional skill and potential.
At just 15 years and 263 days old, Dowman surpassed the record previously set by Reiss Nelson, who had achieved the mark at 16 years and 57 days in 2016. This achievement underscores the young player’s impressive progression.
Dowman, an England youth international, is considered one of the most promising teenagers in world football. His debut for Arsenal’s first team against Leeds last month, after standing out in the pre-season, was a clear indication of his talent. In addition, he was called up from the bench in the defeat against Liverpool, demonstrating the confidence that the coaching staff has in him.Dowman scored Arsenal’s second goal in the 3-2 victory over Wolves in Premier League 2 on Saturday. From the right side of the area, Dowman shaped up with his right foot, cut inside onto his left, and finished with a low, precise shot.

Dowman’s goal adds to his rapid rise through the Arsenal youth ranks. He debuted with the Under-18 team at the age of 13 and participated in the UEFA Youth League, where he became the youngest goalscorer in the history of the competition during a group stage match against Atalanta last September.
The Arsenal first team will return to action in the Premier League on Sunday with a match against Manchester City at the Emirates Stadium. Dowman is unlikely to feature in this encounter.
