David Luiz shines again in the Champions League

At 38 years old, David Luiz has scored a goal in the Champions League again, a feat he hadn’t achieved in over eight years. The Brazilian defender, now playing for Pafos, demonstrated his quality by heading a ball from a corner kick, sending it directly into the upper corner of AS Monaco’s goal. This goal tied the score at 1-1 in the 18th minute of the match. With 38 years and 218 days, David Luiz becomes the second oldest player to score in the history of the Champions League. He is only surpassed by the Portuguese defender Pepe, who scored at 40 years and 290 days.
