Cristiano Ronaldo has decided to end his absence from Al Nassr matches, according to sources close to the team.
The Portuguese star missed two crucial club matches in the Saudi Pro League, including the 2-0 victory against Al Ittihad and last week’s triumph against Al Riyadh.
According to reliable sources, Ronaldo is expected to return to action on February 14, in the match against Al Fateh.
Al Nassr also has a commitment this Wednesday in the Asian Champions League against Arkadag.Cristiano Ronaldo has played 22 matches this season with Al Nassr.
It is reported that Ronaldo was absent from the matches due to his discontent with the Public Investment Fund (PIF) of Saudi Arabia and its influence on the transfer market of his club.
The forward would have agreed to return to the field after receiving guarantees from the PIF.
Among the player’s demands were the payment of Al Nassr’s overdue salaries and the restoration of autonomy to the club’s senior managers.
With this, Simão Coutinho (sports director) and José Semedo (CEO), who had been suspended by the PIF, regain their functions, according to sources close to them.
In the current season, Ronaldo has participated in 22 matches, scoring 18 goals and providing 3 assists.
Currently, Al Nassr is in second place in the Saudi Pro League, just one point behind their eternal rival, Al Hilal.
The Saudi Pro League issued a statement last Thursday, warning Ronaldo that no player can influence decisions beyond their own team.
The Saudi Pro League is structured around a simple principle: Each club operates independently under the same rules.
