Manchester City close to signing Rayan Aït-Nouri
Manchester City is close to finalizing a deal with Wolverhampton Wanderers for the addition of left-back Rayan Aït-Nouri. Sources close to the club have revealed that the transfer could be completed shortly.
The Algerian international would join the Etihad Stadium for a sum close to 40 million euros (approximately 45.7 million dollars).
Aït-Nouri has been authorized to leave the Algerian national team’s training camp, which will face Rwanda this Thursday, to undergo medical tests and formalize his transfer. The 23-year-old footballer, with 157 appearances for the Wolves after initially joining on loan from Angers in 2020, would be City’s second signing this summer, following in the footsteps of midfielder Tijjani Reijnders.
City is interested in completing most of its moves in the transfer market before traveling to the United States.
The club maintains its interest in Lyon striker Rayan Cherki, Nottingham Forest midfielder Morgan Gibbs-White, and Juventus full-back Andrea Cambiaso. Jack Grealish has been informed that he will not be selected as he seeks a transfer away from City this summer. Kyle Walker will also not be included despite finishing his loan spell at AC Milan.
