Aris Salónica’s winger, Carles Pérez, is out after suffering a groin injury, the result of an unusual incident: a dog attack, according to local media reports this Wednesday.
The 27-year-old Spanish footballer was walking his dog when another dog bit him in the genitals, in an attempt to separate the animals. The incident caused him a deep wound, requiring medical attention in a hospital.
Pérez participated in the 2-1 defeat of the Greek team against Araz-Nakhchivan in the first leg of the second qualifying round of the Europa Conference League.
Local media reports indicate that the player will be absent for the return match in Thessaloniki.
