Chelsea midfielder Moisés Caicedo suffered a left ankle injury during added time of the second half in the 2-0 victory over Fluminense in the Club World Cup semi-final on Tuesday. Caicedo received treatment and returned to the game, but then had to be substituted, leaving Chelsea with one less player.

Moses twisted his ankle.

Enzo Maresca, Chelsea coach
Maresca commented on the situation:

I told him, because there were only two or three minutes left, that we could play with 10 players. The important thing is that it didn’t get worse, because we have a match on Sunday, but he felt he could try. He tried and felt pain. Let’s hope he can be fit on Sunday. We’ll see.

Enzo Maresca, Chelsea coach
Chelsea will face Real Madrid or Paris Saint-Germain in Sunday’s final.
