More Injuries Complicate Barcelona: Raphinha and García Join the List of Absences

Barcelona faces a new setback in its squad due to injuries. Raphinha and Joan García join the list of players who will be out of the fields for a while. Raphinha will be out for three weeks due to a hamstring injury. On the other hand, goalkeeper García will be out for up to six weeks due to a meniscus problem in his knee. These new casualties are added to Gavi’s, who will be out for five months, and Fermín López, who will be out for three weeks due to a muscle problem. The four players will miss the team’s upcoming commitments, including the match against Real Sociedad, the Champions League encounter against Paris Saint-Germain, and the trip to Seville.
Raphinha will miss Brazil’s friendlies against South Korea and Japan. On a more positive note, Lamine Yamal and Alejandro Balde could return from their respective injuries for the match against Real Sociedad. Raphinha suffered the injury in the 3-1 victory over Real Oviedo, where he had to be substituted in the second half. The forward will miss Barcelona’s next three matches and Brazil’s friendlies against South Korea and Japan. His return could be in the LaLiga match against Girona on October 18.
  • De la Fuente: No interest in Flick’s laments about Yamal.
  • Fecha Clásica: First date of the Clásico revealed.
  • Tebas: Yamal was only denied the Ballon d’Or due to his age.
In the absence of Raphinha, Marcus Rashford, who arrived on loan from Manchester United, will have the opportunity to establish himself in Barcelona’s attack. García, for his part, is unlikely to be back for the Clásico, with Wojciech Szczesny ready to take his place.

Garcia has suffered a medial meniscus tear in his left knee. On Saturday, he will undergo arthroscopic surgery by Dr. Joan Carles Monllau.

Barcelona
He is expected to be out for four to six weeks, depending on his recovery. Midfielder López, like Raphinha, could return after the October international break, in time for the trip to Madrid on October 26, but Gavi, in addition to goalkeeper Marc-André ter Stegen, is a long-term absentee.
