Barcelona Returns to Spotify Camp Nou for Champions League Clash

FC Barcelona has confirmed that it will play its Champions League match against Eintracht Frankfurt at Spotify Camp Nou.

The Catalan team finally returns to its stadium this Saturday to face Athletic Club in a LaLiga match, after more than two years playing away from home.

The club announced on Wednesday that European football will return to the famous stadium when they face Frankfurt on December 9, after obtaining the necessary license to increase capacity.

The match against Athletic Club will be played in front of a crowd of 45,401 spectators, because the remodeling works have not yet finished.

The works to modernize the stadium and increase its capacity to 105,000 spectators began in the summer of 2023. The initial plan was for Barcelona to return to play at Camp Nou last November.

However, a series of delays have postponed his return, so Barça has played most of its matches at the Estadi Olímpic in the city.

The FC Barcelona is pleased to be able to compete again in its stadium and continue advancing in the integral transformation project of the new Spotify Camp Nou.
