Arsenal in Talks to Sign Christian Nørgaard from Brentford
Arsenal have initiated talks with Brentford to secure the signing of Christian Nørgaard, according to sources close to the club.
The 31-year-old midfielder has become a surprising option for the Gunners, who could lose two experienced central midfielders this summer.
Jorginho has already left the club to join Flamengo, while negotiations continue with Thomas Partey regarding a possible contract extension.
Arsenal coach Mikel Arteta wants to keep Partey on the team, but sources indicate that there is no close agreement, with Partey’s salary being the main problem. If the situation continues like this, he will leave as a free agent when his contract expires next week.
Therefore, Arsenal is considering alternatives and has contacted Brentford to inquire about Nørgaard’s availability.
